Our team derive from a variety of professional backgrounds. Working together as a team, SALEM's mission is to provide high quality activity breaks and therapeutic support placements for young people of all ages, creating a caring and engaging programme tailored with each young person in mind.

MANAGING DIRECTOR
MATTHEW LEAHY
Matt is a born again Christian, father of two, outdoors enthusiast & instructor who has worked with young people in social care for the last 7 years.
He credits the turn around in his life to his faith & aims to help as many people as he can and has a heart to help people conquer addictions and negative behavioural cycles with the use of the great outdoors, mentoring and self reflection.

Matt has a great love for windsurfing, hiking and snowboarding!

MANAGING DIRECTOR - HR
OLIVIA CREE
Olivia has worked within social care for the past five years in the HR department, fronting care and compliance, recruitment, as well as working as a key worker with young people.
She is incredibly driven and experienced in maintaining a high quality of care for both our young people and employees.

MANAGING DIRECTOR
JOHN HALL
John is a father of three and a family man. John has worked in social care for the past 16 years and has enjoyed and is extensively experienced in a variety of roles.
From working in hospitals with complex needs, and care homes, to being the deputy manager for a well known adventure therapy company, John has a firm knowledge of the industry and is essential to the day to day runnings of the company.

OPERATIONS MANAGER
JASON MORRISON
Jason Morrison, affectionately known as Moe, brings a wealth of experience and exceptional skills to our team as Operations Manager. With a distinguished 10.5-year tenure in the army, including 8 years as a Physical Training Instructor, Moe has honed his leadership and physical conditioning expertise. Following his military service, he dedicated 6 years as an outdoor instructor, specialising in canoeing, kayaking, caving, and climbing, and earned his qualifications as a mountain leader.

A tech wizard and our resident Google expert, Moe's legendary organisational skills ensure seamless operations and unparalleled efficiency.

KEY WORKER
CHRIS BARLOW
Chris has extensive experience within the child care industry, and enjoys his role as key worker for creating positive experiences for some of the young people who spend time with us. He loves to spend his time outside. Climbing, paddling and walking are all ways Chris has fun when he's not working.
Chris does this job to give young people the chance to experience something new and make positive changes in their lives. Being there the best he can for young people during such an uncertain period of their lives and trying to have some fun everyday is why Chris works at Salem Breaks.
